CLEVELAND, Ohio - For the first time this fall, a member of the Denison volleyball team was named NCAC Athlete of the Week: senior Maeve Perry was honored as Volleyball Player of the Week on Tuesday, October 13. Perry is the first Denison athlete to earn the honor of Athlete of the Week in the month of October.

Maeve Perry had an inspirational senior day performance on Saturday, October 10, as the senior right side hitter led Denison's offense in a five-set win over John Carroll. Perry had a match-high 15 kills on 31 attacks, logging a season-high .419 hitting percentage for a match with over 20 attacks. The senior added four total blocks, including one solo, scoring a total of 17.5 points in the 3-2 victory over the Blue Streaks. Six of Perry's 15 kills came in the second set of the match.

Up Next: Denison volleyball will play a pair of matches this week, opening their action at home on Friday night, October 16, when the Big Red welcome Otterbein University for a 6:30 p.m. match. Denison will then turn around on Saturday morning, traveling to Capital University for a 10:30 a.m. match.
