Wooster, Ohio – Denison Big Red men's soccer opened NCAC play with a 1-1 draw at The College of Wooster on Saturday afternoon, as first-year midfielder
Lowen Jamison scored his first goal of the season to give the Big Red an early lead.
Jamison put Denison ahead just before the break, finishing unassisted in the 45th minute to send the Big Red into halftime up 1-0. Wooster answered midway through the second half, leveling the match in the 69th minute to make it 1-1.
Denison held the edge in shots, 13-8, including a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Alex Provost made two saves to help secure the point on the road.
With the result, Denison moves to 4-1-4 overall and opens conference play at 0-0-1, while Wooster improves to 6-3-1 (0-0-1 NCAC). The Big Red return home to host John Carroll University on Wednesday, October 7, at 7 p.m. in their next NCAC matchup.
