Granville, Ohio – Denison Big Red women's soccer and John Carroll played to a scoreless draw on a Tuesday evening at Kienzle-Hylbert Stadium, despite the Big Red holding a commanding edge in shots throughout the match.
Denison dominated possession and chances from the opening whistle, out-shooting John Carroll 13-0 in the first half alone and 22-6 for the match, with a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal. The Big Red tested the John Carroll goalkeeper repeatedly, but couldn't find the breakthrough. Ella Palmer came closest in the 51st minute, ringing a shot off the crossbar, while

On the other end, sophomore goalkeeper Caroline Hauge made four saves to preserve the shutout for Denison, all of them coming in the second half as John Carroll pushed late for a winner.
With the result, Denison moves to 4-2-4 overall and 0-0-2 in NCAC play, while John Carroll falls to 2-7-3 (0-1-1 NCAC). The Big Red hit the road next, traveling to Wittenberg University on Saturday, October 10, at 3:30 p.m.
