COLORADO SPRINGS, CO.- Denison University field hockey seniors Tabitha Chandler, Emma Gebhart, and sophomore Lulu Keil were three members of the Big Red to be named to the 2026 NFHCA Division III Watchlist, powered by Performance Sports Events (PSE).
The Big Red were one of three North Coast Athletic Conference institutions represented on the list, which recognized 204 Division III student-athletes who have demonstrated a high level of achievement and are considered strong candidates for NFHCA All-Region and All-American honors later this season.
Last season, Chandler, Gebhart, and Keil earned three of the four major NCAC Player of the Year awards. Keil was named NCAC Newcomer of the Year after earning second-team All-NCAC honors. She finished her rookie season third overall in scoring in the conference, and became the Big Red's eighth rookie to receive the honor. Seniors Gebhart and Chandler returned to the watchlist for a second consecutive year after earning NCAC's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards, respectively. Gebhart was first-team All-NCAC and, for the second time in her career, was named Offensive Player of the Year after leading the conference in goals (22), assists (9), and points (53). Chandler joined her fellow senior attack on the first-team All-NCAC and, for the second-straight season, was named NCAC Defensive Player of the Year. She helped the Big Red defense to eight shutouts, allowing only three goals in conference play.
Denison kicks off its 2026 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 5, on the road, and faces #20 Shenandoah University at 1 p.m. The Big Red take on Roanoke College on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m., for their home opener.
