Bethlehem, Pa. - A good amount of the Denison women's cross country squad competed in the morning slate, as the afternoon races were canceled in the Paul Short Run due to heat. The morning 6k and 8k open races, along with the Gold 6k and 8k, were able to start, but due to extreme heat, the White 6k and 8k races were canceled, which the Big Red were slated to compete in. Sophomore Brett Rose Castro led the group with a personal-best, while multiple Big Red logged season-bests to compete in the large field.

Rose Castro paced the group with a personal-best time of 24:43.2 for 201st place in the field. The time was 22 seconds better than her previous personal-best. Sophomore Amelia Anderson turned in a season-best, clocking in a time of 25:10.0, while first-year Allie Reuter followed shortly after with a time of 25:13.3. Senior Aly Marshall also posted a season-best, logging in a time of 25:33.6. First-year Ellie Fuller (27:07.7) and junior Ava Burson (29:16.2) rounded-out the group to finish the morning.
