CLEVELAND, Ohio - After an impressive outing at last week's O'Briant Jensen Memorial tournament, hosted by Guilford College, sophomore men's golfer Will McCarthy was named this week's NCAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week. McCarthy finished tied for eighth place after shooting 70 (-1), 73 (+2), and 73 (+2) over two days and three rounds.

He fired off 13 birdies throughout the tournament, the second most in a field of more than 70 competitors. This was his best tournament finish and lowest score relative to par since joining the team, and his performance helped the Big Red finish 11th.

Denison will return to competition in the spring, when they resume their 2026-27 schedule.
