Box Score Gambier, Ohio - The Big Red traveled to Kenyon College this weekend for a five-team invitational against tough competition, squaring off against host Kenyon, in-state foe Case Western, Carnegie Mellon, and a strong University of Chicago squad. Despite the difficult field, several Big Red stood out with strong individual showings.

Maddie Larsen and Olivia Akers each turned in the best weekends for Denison, going 4-1 overall. The pair also teamed up in doubles, going 2-0 together, including a 6-0 win over Case Western's Vellanki/Skobeleva. Rafaella Ramos went 3-1 on the weekend, and Sydney Wszolek and Caitlin Van Winkle each finished 3-2, with the two combining to go 3-0 as a doubles pair across the weekend.

Denison went 8-8 against Case Western, the Big Red's most competitive matchup of the invite, and went 2-0 in doubles against Carnegie Mellon. The University of Chicago, who finished the weekend 30-6 overall, proved the toughest matchup for the Big Red, who dropped to 1-8 against the Maroons.

Denison will head to the ITA Central Regional Championships hosted by Kalamazoo College from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27.
